Hello From BC
I am passionate about social justice and will shortly be entering my 2nd year in my online degree program in Social Justice Studies.
I look forward to stimulating conversations that will give birth to a much needed accountability structure for the Internet world. The evolution of society demands that there be an evolution legislatively as well. The internet, its' functions, uses, and the doors that it opens are not only beneficial but has become detrimental to our societies worldwide and must come into an accountability in a greater capacity. Myles Munroe states, "Where purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable." I look forward to see what will emerge from our conversations as we come to the table of conversation from all over the world to find appropriate and meaningful ways to utilise this tool (the internet) that brings us together as a worldwide community.
Nice to Meet you Abby!
Another participant, Mike from the Congo, is also studying online. He just posted in this thread a few days ago. I'm interested in hearing about your experiences as an internet student.
