I enjoyed reading the summary you posted. It has helped me to clarify my thoughts on the various topics of discussions. I just came back from a vacation to the Smoky Mountains, where I was incommunicado for six days. The first thing I did when I returned home was to check my email where I had hundreds of emails left after I deleated the hundreds more spam. The vacation was like traveling back in time, imagining how the settlers survived the new wilderness and how the original people had to rapidly adapt to the intruders in order to continue to exist. Similarly, the internet is the new frontier where prospectors stake their claims, businesses must adapt to the online culture in order to continue to flourish, and individuals must learn to navigate the system (often at their own risk). This contest is a great step toward finding solutions for a peaceable online society so that each of us pioneers can explore this new frontier in safety and trust.
